WHY: Despite sharing the same academy, many students were unaware of each other's projects, interests, and achievements. Portfolio Magazine was created to increase visibility for emerging artists and designers, foster connections between students, and celebrate the creative work happening within the academy.
WHAT: Portfolio Magazine is a student-led publication showcasing emerging artists and designers from Willem de Kooning Academy. Through interviews, features, and visual storytelling, the magazine provides a platform for students to share their work with a wider audience. I initiated and pitched the concept to the academy's marketing team, securing support for the publication and leading its development from concept to execution.
