WHY: Dutch curtain manufacturer Artex sought a way to repurpose seasonal surplus fabrics that would otherwise go unused. The project explored how discarded textiles could be transformed into a desirable product while supporting more sustainable production practices.
WHAT: LES-FUL is a footwear concept created entirely from Artex's surplus curtain textiles. By using a mono-material construction, the project explores a circular design approach that simplifies recycling while extending the lifespan of discarded materials. It includes a developed product concept, branding, and visual identity alongside the footwear design.
