CRYSTALLISATION OF SOCIETY I (SCULPTURE)
Medium: Light Clay on Plaster Model
Size: 16x25x31 cm x3
This work talks about how as individuals we are the crystallisations of the society. Organs as motifs emphasise their functions, the repetition of organs also aims to confuse the audiences, make them unsure whether these organs belong to the person underneath them. While the answer is they both belong to and not belong to the person underneath them. I want my audience to sense that all three organs shapes us differently, this is why they do not share the same arrangement and colour. By using different combination of colours, it is less eary for the viewers to grow tired of when looking at them.
This work is placed on tables lower than the viewers, so that they can see all three sculptures clearly and in different angles. It is placed solely in front of one wall, so the viewers can focus on just these three heads.
