REPLACE HUMAN FORCES WITH A SYSTEMATIC PROCEDURE IN VANUE SPACE

SERVICE-FREE BUILDING (Dec 2019 - Mar 2020)

Inspired by my working experience as an event waitress. I questioned the necessity of having waiters and waitresses holding beverages and standing still for hours just to greet guests with big smiles and provide food-related information. Which our customers appriciate neither smiles nor the service given.

What kind of education suggests that being event guests means people can put tablewares on the floor after they finished the food? This question led me to start this "educational" project, that the design of these spaces provide very basic service human need. In order to train people to be "responsible" and considerate to the enviroment around them.

This project means to focus on the interaction between human and spaces in vanue building, and maximise the effectiveness of usage in spaces. The aim is to make self-care more effortless and increase self-discipline in users.

This really is like what we do in fast food restaurant, like bringing our own trash to the bin after finish our foods, but hopefully more effective and again effortless.
